The day started with two hits of the snooze button at 6am, followed by a mad scramble to get dressed, recover the camera, identity cards, cellphone and wallets before rushing to the train station. By 10am we were in Peschiera del Garda strolling like all other early-season tourists, biding our time until the 13.30pm shuttle to Gardaland, Europe’s 3rd biggest theme park.
The last time i was here, i was 8?9?10? I was with my mom and my younger brother.
Today i went in as a 25 year old on a date with her boyfriend, but realized that upon entrance, even the most cynical and hardened of adults give their sensibilities a day pass: I was bubbling with excitement and Jelle knew it, which gave me but 3 minutes before he whisked me off from ride to ride.
You’d think two experienced adrenaline chasers like us wouldn’t have a problem with the twists in a theme park’s ride, alas, we were jelly-kneed at the sight of some of the attractions’ fundamental highlights. To think 6 year olds were running around the park braving the very rides we stayed clear from! Our yard stick was: if a 2 year old can do it, so can we! But, if a 10 year old can do it, watch first, do later. 🙂
We have to say though, one of the fun-est attractions was Spongebob in 4D!
But only because it was in 4D, okay? Ahem… 🙂
